Read the 2022 National Young Farmer Survey Report
Every five years we gather stories from young and BIPOC farmers across the country through the National Young Farmer Survey. This year we received over 10,000 responses from past, current, and aspiring farmers!
These important data present an up-to-date picture of the challenges and promises of the next generation in agriculture, and inform the 2022 Young Farmer Agenda, our policy recommendations for the 2023 Farm Bill.

Nearly half of U.S. farmland will transition ownership in the next 20 years. We are calling on Congress to invest $2.5 billion in the 2023 Farm Bill to facilitate equitable access to one million acres of land for the next generation of farmers.
